December 9, 2014 Board Meeting Agenda Item #14 Title APPROVAL OF EXPULSION CASE NO. 15-112 Description The student listed in Expulsion Case No. 15-112, refused to sign an accepted settlement agreement for Alternative School Placement. On October 21, 2014 the student violated School Board Policy 5.32 Marijuana Use. It is the recommendation of the Superintendent that the student be expelled from Sarasota County Schools until January 19, 2016. Recommendation That in accordance with provisions of Sections 1006.07(1)(a)(b), Florida Statutes and School Board Policy 5.34, the holding of a hearing having been waived by the student /parent, the recommendation as specified in Expulsion Case No. 15-112, to expel the student referenced therein from the Sarasota County Schools, be approved effective immediately until January 19, 2016.
